Travellers to Thailand should be aware of a new type of menace. Beyond bedbugs, there’s now a new insect invasion. The pamplepoach is a small beetle that curls up to resemble a grapefruit-shaped ball. This prolific breeder likes to nest in warm areas, so you may stay in a place, unpack your bags, and found them covered by an active colony of pamplepoaches. Check for signs of round pinkish balls in your room before laying down your bags.
